In Luyken's ' Vonken der lief de Jezus,* Amst. 1727,121110. are several engravings relating to the subject. Inone of them Death pours a draught into the mouth of asick man in bed.

In Moncriefs "March of Intellect," 1830, i8mo. scenea workhouse, Death brings in a bowl of soup, a label onthe ground, inscribed " Death in the pot." An engravingin wood after Cruikshank.

In Jan Huygen's " Beginselen van Gods koninryk," Amst.1738, 12mo. with engravings by Luyken, a dying manattended by his physician and friends ; Death at the headof the bed eagerly lying in wait for him.

In one of the livraisons of " Gothe's Balladen undRomanzen," 1831, in folio, with beautiful marginal deco-rations, there is a Dance of Death in a churchyard,accompanied with a description, of which an Englishtranslation is inserted in the "Literary Gazette" for 1832,p. 731, under the title of "The Skeleton Dance," with areference to another indifferent version in the " Souvenir."
