The Oath of the Prince.

Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, and Earl of Cheller, the firltborn of the mofi excellent and invincible by the Grace of God King ofEngland and France, Lord of Ireland, and jufily Sovereign of this Order,being now nominated and eleBed to this venerable Order, do promife and givemy Faith, that truly and faithfully to the utmofi of my power, I will obferveall the Statutes of this Order, and the Articles of the Statutes, as far as theytouch me in my Manner, according to the Import, Form, and Eff eci of thefame, and alfo that I will maintain the Rights of the College, in which thisOrder is founded.
