H ENRY the Fourth , Son of John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancafler,began to reign in England in the Tear from the Incarnatimi of Chrifi,one thoufand three hundred eighty and nineteen.

In the firß Tear of his Reign, he folemnly kept his Chriftmas at Wind-*for.

In his third Tear, in the Month of Augufl, the moß noble Dutchefs ofBretagne landed at Falmouth, a Port of Cornwall, and being fplendidly con-ducted from thence to Winchefler, was married to the King in that Cathedral',ninth a Pomp fuitable to the Occafion, and yet with a much greater, after-wards in his fourth Tear, fie pajfed through the Streets of Weftminfter, andwas royally crowned on the fourteenth of Deceniber.

In this fame fourth Tear, Rupert, who fucceeded Wenceflaus as Empe-ror, voluntarily coming into England, and being received with all the Ho-nour due to fo great an Emperor, and with various Kinds of Entertain-ments every where, and in fine with great Prefents from all Quartersbrought to him y who returned greater Ones (for he was not only defirousof appearing magnificent, but was really fo, and becaufe his long Stay herehad been very chargeable to the King) and being honourably attended to theSea 3 returned Home.
