And hecaufe the Giving of Alms joined with Prayer contributesmuch to the Salvation of the Soul, fo many Veteran Knights reduced to Po-verty, as equalled the Companions in Number, were appointed to offer Prayers ,receiving there wherewith to live, hecaufe they had not fuffeient of their own.The Choice of them, as of the Canons abovementioned ßall belong to the Sove-reign ; and thefe [Aimes Knights] ßall have red Mantles with the Scutcheon[of Armes] of St. George fowed thereto.
