“ PROCLAMATION
“ By His Excellency Sir Frederick Adam, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Military Orderof the Bath, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and SaintGeorge, &c. &c. His Majesty’s Lord High Commissioner in and for the United States of theIonian Islands.
“ Whereas His Majesty, the Protecting Sovereign of these States, has been graciously pleased toappoint His Highness the President of the Senate, and the Chevalier Marino Veja, to be a Knight GrandCross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; and the Most IllustriousDoctor Pietro Coidan, and the Most Illustrious Chevalier Angiolo Condari, to be Knights Commandersof the aforesaid Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George. And whereas HisMajesty has also been graciously pleased to empower His Excellency, Sir Frederick Adam, Lieutenant-General in His Armies, and His Lord High Commissioner in and for the United States of the IonianIslands, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Military Order of the Bath, and Knight GrandCross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, &c. &c. to Invest HisHighness the Chevalier Marino Veja, with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross, and the aforemen-tioned Most Illustrious Doctor Pietro Coidan, and Most Illustrious Chevalier Angiolo Condari, withthe Insignia of Knights Commanders of the said Most Distinguished Order. It is, therefore, herebyProclaimed, that the said Investitures shall take place in the Palace of the Most Distinguished Orderof Saint Michael and Saint George, on Tuesday next, the 11th instant.
“ The order and rule to be observed on the Ceremonial of the said Investitures shall be madeknown hereafter. The present shall be published in the Greek and Italian languages, and shall bepromulgated for universal intelligence.
