FORM OF CEREMONIAL TO BE OBSERVED AT THE RECEPTION AND SWEARING IN OFTHE MOST HONOURABLE THE MARQUESS OF ANGLESEY, K.G. &c. &c.

“ Office of Arms, 13th December 1830.
“ A Messenger to be stationed at the Pigeon House or Kingstown, to bring intelligence of theapproach of the Royal Yacht to the Secretary of State at the Castle, who will communicate the same totheir Excellencies the Lords Justices.
“ The Privy Council will then assemble, and two of its Members will be sent to congratulate theMarquess of Anglesey on his safe arrival, and to signify to his Lordship that their Excellencies theLord Justices are ready to receive his Lordship in the Presence Chamber at the Castle.
“ The regiments of the Garrison will be drawn out and line the streets from the Castle Gate towardsMerrion Square.
“ The Lord Mayor (having been summoned by a special messenger), with the City High Sheriffs,and the other Municipal Officers, will meet the Marquess of Anglesey at the City entrance, on theMerrion Square side, and a Procession will form, and move towards the Castle in the following Order:
An Advance Guard of Cavalry.
The Serjeant of the State Trumpeters, on Horseback.
The State Trumpeters and Kettle Drums, also Mounted.
The Carriages of the High Sheriffs of the City.
The Lord Mayor, in his Carriage of State.
The Equipage of the Marquess of Anglesey, his Lordship’s ownCoach to be flanked by the High Sheriffs onHorseback, bearing their Truncheons,
Squadron and Standard as ordered by the Commander of the Forces.
“ Upon his arrival at the Castle, the Marquess will be received by Sir Stewart Bruce, Bart.Gentleman Usher and Master of the Ceremonies, and conducted to the Presence Chamber; wheretheir Excellencies the Lords Justices, standing covered in front of the Throne, as Chief Governors, andsurrounded by the Officers of State, will receive His Lordship.
“ The Marquess’s Chief Secretary will attend His Lordship to the Presence Chamber, bearing hisCommission.
“ After a short conference, their Excellencies the Lords Justices will intimate to the Marquess ofAnglesey, that the Members of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council are assembled in theCouncil Chamber, and in readiness to administer the Oaths to His Lordship in the usual manner ; anda Procession is then to be made from the Presence Chamber to the Council Chamber in the followingOrder:
Pursuivants.
Grooms of the Chamber.
Gentlemen at large.
Aides-de-Camp, two and two.
Gentlemen of the Bedchamber.
Athlone Pursuivant of Arms, in his Tabard.
Serjeants at Arms, bearing the Maces.
Master of the Horse.
