Sir Maurice, Count Palatine of the Rhine, Dukeof Bavaria, son of Frederick, King of Bohemia.Nominated at St. Germain en Laye 18th Septem-ber 1649, and received the Ensigns at Lisbon.Lost at sea, without having been Installed, about1651.

Sir James Butler, 1st Marquess of Ormond in Ire-land. Nominated at St. Germain en Laye 18thSeptember 1649. Installed 15th April 1661. Cre-ated Duke of Ormond in England 1682. Died21st July 1688.

Sir Edward, Count Palatine of the Rhine, Dukeof Bavaria, youngest son of Frederick, King ofBohemia. Nominated and Invested at St. Germainen Laye 19th September 1649, and obtained a Dis-pensation for wearing the Star and Collar withoutbeing Installed 16th October 1649. Installed byDispensation 15th April 1661. Died 10th March1663.

Sir George Villiers, 2nd Duke of Buckingham.Nominated and Invested at St. Germain en Laye19th September 1649. Installed 15th April 1661.Died 16th April 1687.

Sir William Seymour, 2nd Marquess of Hertford.Nominated at Jersey in January 1650, and theEnsigns w'ere delivered to him by the King at Can-terbury 27th May 1660. Restored to the Dukedomof Somerset 1660. Died, without having beenInstalled, 24th October 1660.

Sir Thomas Wriothesley, 4th Earl of Southamp-ton. Nominated at Jersey in January 1650, andthe Ensigns were delivered to him at Canterburyby the King 27th May 1660. Installed 15th April1661. Died 16th May 1667.

Sir William Hamilton, 2nd Duke of Hamilton inScotland, and 3rd Earl of Cambridge, Nomi-nated at Jersey in January 1650. Died, withouthaving been Installed, 12th September 1651.

Sir William Cavendish, 1st Marquess of New-castle. Nominated at Jersey in January 1650.Installed 15th April 1661. Created Duke ofNewcastle in 1664. Died 25th December 1676.

Sir James Graham, 1st Marquess of Montrose.Nominated at Jersey in January 1650, and the En-signs were sent to him, but he was never Installed.Beheaded 21st May 1650.

Sir James Stanley, 7th Earl of Derby. Nominatedat Jersey in January 1650, and the Ensigns weresent to him, but was never Installed. Beheaded15th October 1651.

Sir George Digby, 2nd Earl of Bristol. Nomi-nated and Invested at Paris in January 1653.Installed 15th April 1661. Died 20th March1677.

Sir Henry Stuart, Duke of Gloucester, brother ofthe Sovereign. Nominated at Paris 4th, and In-vested at the Hague, by Garter, 14th April 1653.Died, without having been Installed, 13th Septem-ber 1660.
