Sir John Beaumont, 4th Lord Beaumont. Sup-posed to have been Elected about 1394. Died 9thSeptember 1396.

Sir William Scrope. Supposed to have been Electedabout 1395. Received Robes in 1399. CreatedEarl of Wiltshire in 1397. Beheaded 30thJuly 1399.

Sir William Arundel. Supposed to have beenElected about 1396. Received Robes in 1399.Died August 1400.

Sir John Beaufort. Elected about 1397. ReceivedRobes in 1399, and from 1405 to 1409. CreatedEarl of Somerset and Marquess of Dorset in1397. Deprived of the title of Marquess of Dorsetin 1399, and always afterwards styled Earl of So-merset. Died 16th March 1410.

Sir Thomas Holand, 3rd Earl of Kent, Dukeof Surrey. Elected about 1397. Received Robesin 1399. Adjudged to lose the Dukedom of Sur-rey, 1st Hen. IV. Beheaded 7th January 1400.

Sir John Montacute, 3rd Earl of Salisbury.Elected about 1398. Received Robes in 1399.Beheaded 7th January 1400.

Sir Albert, Count Palatine, Duke of Bavaria,and Count (but often styled Duke) of Holland.Elected about 1398. Received Robes in 1399 and1401. Died 13th December 1404.

Sir Simon Felbrigge. Elected about 1398. Re-ceived Robes from 1399 to 1442. Died 3rd De-cember 1442.

Sir Philip la Vache. Elected April 1399. Re-ceived Robes in 1408. Died between April andJune 1408.

KING HENRY THE FOURTH, who had beenElected a Companion in 1378, became the thirdSOVEREIGN OF THE ORDER, on the 29thof September 1399. Died 20th of March 1413.

Sir Henry Plantagf.net, Prince of Wales, eldestson of the Sovereign. Elected soon after Septem-ber 1399. Received Robes from 1401 to 1411.Ascended the Throne as KING HENRY THEFIFTH in March 1413.

HENRY THE THIRD, KING OF SPAIN. Electedabout 1400. Received Robes in 1401 ; and Robescontinued to be issued for the King of Spain from1408 until 1411, though this Monarch died 25thDecember 1406.

Sir Thomas Plantagenet, second son of the Sove-reign. Elected about 1400. Received Robes from1401 to 1409, and in 1413 and 1416. CreatedDuke of Clarence in 1411. Slain 22nd March1421.

Sir John Plantagenet, third son of the Sovereign.Elected about 1400. Received Robes from 1405to 1435. Created Duke of Bedford in 1414.Died 13th September 1435.

Sir Humphrey Plantagenet, fourth son of the Sove-reign. Elected about 1400. Received Robes from1405 to 1446,. Created Duke of Gloucester in1414. Died 28th February 1447.

Sir Thomas Fitz Alan, 7th Earl of Arundel.Elected about 1400. Received Robes from 1405to 1413. Died 13th October 1415.

Sir Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland.Elected about 1402. Received Robes from 1405to 1423. Died 21st October 1425.

Sir Richard Beauchamp. Elected about 1400. Suc-ceeded in 1401 as 5th Earl of Warwick. Re-ceived Robes from 1408 to 1436. Died 30th April1439.

Sir Thomas Beaufort. Elected about 1400. Cre-ated Earl of Dorset in 1411, and Duke ofExeter in 1416. Received Robes from 1408 to1426, and they were also prepared for him in 1427.Died 27th December 1426.

Sir Thomas Rampston. Elected about 1400. Died31st October 1406.

Sir Thomas Erpyngham. Elected about 1401. Re-ceived Robes from 1408 to 1423. Slain 4th July1428.

Sir Edmund Stafford, 5th Earl of Stafford.Elected about 1402. Slain 21st July 1403.

Sir William Willoughby, 5th Lord Willoughbyof Eresby. Elected about 1402. Received Robesin 1405, 1408, and 1409. Died 30th November1410.
