Item, It ys agreed, That noKnyghc chofen andeledte for to be Felow of the (aid Noble Ordre, (hall notbe (failed by Procurement cr Attornay, excepte be be aStraunger, and may not well come hyther in his propreParfon for to be (tailed, or other that is bulled withoutethe Realme for the Affaires of the Soverayne, or by hisCommandement and Li cence, as itys above declared.

XXVII. Item, Thar every Knyghc entryng in the faido rdre, (hall Promes and Swere faithfully to obferve andkepe the Poyntis and Articles that here followed) ; that isto witt, that to his trew Powre he (hall helpe, duryng hisLyffe, and duryng the tyme that he lhall be Felow of thefaid Ordre, for to kepe, defende and fuftayne the Honor,Quarrelles, Rightes and Lordshippes of the Soverayne ofthe faid Ordre.

Item, That with all his Powre he shall enforce hymlelffeand take payne honorably to enrertayne and augment thefaid Ordre ; and if it happen hyrn for to know any thyngethat were imagyned or procured to the contrary?, of thedefence and refiftence of this, with all his trew Powrehe shall put hymfelf in more gretter endevorment.,

Item, That well and trewiy he shall accomplice anddntertayne all the Statutis, Poyntis and Ordynances of thelaid Ordre ; and of all this shall make a generall Othe,ail and fo as though it were redde unto hym fro Poynt to
