Knights have been deified, they then proceed together,before the Knights-Companions. At his Entrance into theChoir, the eled Knight is placed by Garter, next beforethe lowed Stall; or if there be two eledted, and bothproceed to the Chappel, they are placed in the two lowedStalls; where they are to ftand all Service time, unlefsupon Licence to fit, as they have fometimes obtained.

Of the Ceremonies performed at Divine Service •

In this Morning Service, before the Reformationof our Church, the Mafs of Requiem was folemnly Sung,for the Souls of the tonights-Companions, and all faithfulSouls departed, which was provided for by the Statutes.As likewife, that all the Knights ihould be prefent thereat,unlefs upon Licenfe obtained, or fpecial Cafe to the con-trary. At this Celebration, was the deceafed KnightsAchievements alfo offered with folemn Ceremony j ofwhich we lhall fpeak prefently.

• Another Ceremony belonging to the Service of thisMorning, is the Offering of Gold and SiLyer, which(when the firft Sentence of the Offertory has been pro-nounced,) is again performed by the Sovereign andKnights-Companions ; the Ceremonies being the fame, inall particulars, as are obferved at the like Offering on theFeaft Day.

Divine Service being ended, the Sovereign and Knights-Companions frequently proceed to the Cbapter-Houfe, andthere put oft their Mantles, and therewith' the Cere~monies of this Grand Feaft determine.
