§ 8. The Proceeding having entered the Choir, theCommiftioners, &c. conduct the Proxy into the lowerStall, directly under that defigned for his Principal,where the Reefer reads the Words of the Oath, whilethe Proxy, laying his Hand on the Book, repeats themsfter him, and Kiffes the Book: And this Oath his De-putation impowers him to take, in the Name of hisPrincipal; the Form of the Oath having no differencefrom the Oath taken Perfonally by an elect Knight.
