Others makeCharles aforefaid the Founder of this Order, 143O. inImitation or Emulation of the Golden Fleece, inftitu-ted by Philip Duke of Burgundy. Their Number, in-cluding the Founder, was Twenty Five 3 their Habit,Surcoats of Violet Velvet, and over them Mantles ofWatchet Velvet lin’d with Carnation Satin 5 the Collarwas formed of Gold Chains, at the End whereof hunga Porcupine of Gold upon an enamelled Hillock ofGrafs and Flowers, which Creature was alfo em-broidered on the Knights Belts.
