Grönland, im nördl. atlantischen Meere, in O. von derBassins Lay und von der Daviestraße, eine königl. däni-sche Besitzung; nach Thaarup u. a. vom 59° N. B.öis zum 72 0 zum Theil bekannt. Die Dstseire ist, wrgender vielen Eisfelder und Eisberge, fast ganz unzugänglich,hlglich am unbekanntesten. Bekannter ist Ü)est - Grön-land, bisweilen Neu - Grönland genannt. Die südlichsteEpihe heißt Sraatenhook.
