THE PALACE AT THE HAGUE.

FEW cities can vie with the Hague in the regularity andgood appearance of its streets and public places. The squaresare handsomely built and agreeably shaded with avenues oftrees. The principal square, (or rather oblong,) is the Vyver-berg which looks directly on a fine basin of water, on the op-posite side of which is the old Royal Palace. There are nume-rous objects worthy of notice in this palace, particularly theHall where the States General held their sittings ; the courtsof justice, etc., etc.
